Old London Bus was seeded in 1974 when I was offered an Ex London Transport RT complete with a spare fly wheel for £1000 by my uncle, who was an engineer at London Transport’s Stockwell garage. Well, being a student £1000 would be like having £1,000,000 today – a bit out of my league! But when the opportunity, later in life, to purchase not only one, but two of the same buses (now quite rare), a friend, who was also an engineering apprentice with London Transport on the same buses and I decided to start a bus company; enabling you to enjoy the experience we enjoyed as teenagers…
